Our
welcome team will meet you at the door. Ask
them any questions you have about the church
services. When you enter the foyer, you'll see
the New City Café
where you can buy hot drinks. There is also
free coffee available.
Notice the pictures of Anchorage around the foyer.
We are Anchorage CITY Church, and we want to serve
Anchorage. These pictures help keep our focus!
Ushers at the doors to the auditorium will provide
handout sheets with information about what is
happening in the church. If you need help
finding seats, or have other needs the users will be
happy to help.
You will
probably first notice singing starting right away.
Many people like to sing standing, but you should
sit or stand as you are comfortable.
We also often pray for the other
church fellowships of our city. Our church
family often raise their hands during the worship.
The Lord continues to speak to
His church through His written Word, through dreams
and visions, and through individuals with the gift
of prophecy. Occasionally someone with
this gift will come to the front of the auditorium
to bring a prophecy or exhortation.

Before the preaching, we sometimes make few announcements. There is LOTS going on at
City Church. You can also find good up to date
information on this website in the
news
section and in the
calendar section.
The Church has collected
tithes and offerings since the beginning, and we do this at the same
time as the announcements are made. Visitors
are welcome to join us in this, but there is never
any pressure to do so.
Giving is
more important for us as individuals than it is for
the Church, so we suggest asking the Holy Spirit
what you should give.
We teach tithing (the consistent giving of 10% of
one's income) as a regular spiritual discipline, and
we teach offering (giving above and beyond the tithe
as the Holy Spirit moves individuals to do so).
During most of our meetings Pastor Richard
or one of the other pastors preaches or teaches
biblically based messages. You can
listen to recent
sermons on this website or even download them as
podcasts from
iTunes.
At the end of the meetings, we nearly always make
space for those who need prayer for
sickness or other issues in life. At many of
our meetings, there will be those that come forward
to receive Christ
-- and we invite you to do the same if you have not
already.
Automobile
transportation to our church services is currently
most practical. There are two bus stops along
Dimond Blvd. and a few people walk from those.
That is more difficult in winter, however,
owing to lack of sidewalks.
If you are unable to drive to the Sunday church
services, we may be able to pick you up. We
have two small buses that we use to pick up those
without other transportation. Unfortunately the buses are
not equipped for handicap pickup, and are limited in
coverage area. If
you need a ride, please call the church office
before 4 PM on Fridays.

church office at 344-2141.
